IT電子出版で必要とされる翻訳家

時代と編集･出版業界が必要とする人材育成カリキュラム
Our curriculum develops the skills needed for the editing and publication businesses.
新聞・書籍・雑誌に代わるメディアとして発展する電子書籍。同時に翻訳家にも、ITの知識が求められるようになりました。しかしITの知識を持った翻訳家はまだ少数です。TECH.C.ではインターネットを中核としてパソコン、Web、DTPに詳しい翻訳家を育成する編集・出版翻訳専攻を設置。時代が求める翻訳者を育成します。
Growth in the use of electronic publications is expected in the future as the media develops and continues to replace print materials such as newspapers, books, and magazines. The natural consequence of this is the need for translators with IT knowledge as well. These translators are, however, still small in number. TECH.C. has established the editing and publication translation course to train translators to become familiar with personal computers, the Web, and DTP for publishing on the Internet. We intend to train translators required by businesses through the use of ‘university-industry corporative education’.
編集･出版業界で起きる急速なIT、デジタル革命
The IT and digital revolutions are rapidly breaking out in the editing and publication circles.
電子書籍の売り上げは、2002年の10億円から2007年は355億円と、5年で35倍も急成長しています。中でもインターネットによる配信は世界中に拡大しています。そこで必要となるのが、ITによる編集、出版を理解した人材です。特にデジタル編集、翻訳作業を行い、電子出版まで行える人材は編集、出版業界にとって貴重な人材です。
The sales of electronic books have shown continuously rapid growth – by a factor of 35 times in the past five years, from 1 billion yen in 2002 to 35.5 billion yen in 2007. This acceleration is expected to continue, utilizing the internet in particular as its mode of delivery and expanding throughout the world. It is therefore necessary to develop talent who understand editing and publication by IT. People who can execute computer-based editing, conduct translation work, and perform electronic publication will therefore be increasingly valuable in the editing and publication business.
